A clock set in right at 4 am on Monday. The clock loses 16 min in 24 hours. What will be the actual time when the clock indicates 9 pm on Thursday?

therefore 89 hours of this clock = ((24×15)/356)×89 hours of correct clock = 90 hours of the correct clock.

therefore it is clear that in 90 hours this clock loses 1 hour and hence the correct time is 10 pm when the clock shows 9 pm

=> clock loses 16 min in 24*60 = 1440 minutes.

=> Clock shows 1440 - 16 = 1424 Minutes while actual  is 1440

in 1424 Minutes in clock  = 1440 actal  minutes

=> 1  Minutes in clock  =  = 1440/1424  actual minutes

9 pm on Thursday  from 4 am on Monday.

24 * 3 = 72  + 12 + 5  =  89 hrs

in 89 hrs in clock actual = 89 *  1440/1424   =90 hr

so actual time = 10 PM Thursday
