A clock was sold at rs 400 resulting a loss of 10% . At what price should the clock be sold so as to gain 8%

Sold at 400 at 10 %

Now selling priceloss

So sp. = (100-10) % of CP

400= 90%, of CP

Cp = 400 *100/90 =444 (approx.)

Now selling price to gain 8%

So it should be sold at (100+8)% of CP

= 108% of CP

= 108 *444/100 = 479 Rs
