Given, thickness of wood = 2 cm

external dimensions = 25 cm ×18 cm × 15 cm

Therefore, internal dimensions

= 25-2 cm × 18-2 cm × 15-2 cm

= 23 cm × 16cm × 13cm

So, cubic cm of rice can be placed in it

= internal volume of the box

= 23×16×13 = 231,613 cm³

Hence, volume of wood used in the box = (25×18×15) - (23×16×13) = 231613 cm³
