GIVEN ;-

⇒ Thickness of the closed box = 2 cm

⇒ External dimensions of the closed box = 84 cm× 75 cm× 64 cm

TO FIND ;-

⇒Volume of wood required to make the wood = ?

SOL ;-

Let us first find the volume of wood with the given dimensions -

⇒ So volume of wood =  84   ×  75  ×  64

                                 ⇒ 403200 cm³

⇒ Now we got the volume of wood but in the question it is asked that - we need to find out the required volume of wood. so  by using the given formula we can find out the  required volume of wood .

⇒ Volume of wood =  inner dimensions - outer dimension

So the thickness of wood is 2 cm. [ Given ]

Let us find the value of inner dimension -

               ⇒  {84 -  2} × {75 - 2} ×  {64 - 2}

               ⇒       82    ×   73      ×   62

⇒  371123  cm³ is the inner dimension

⇒ Therefore volume of required wood -

⇒ Volume of required wood  = inner dimension - outer dimension

                                          =        403200 - 371123

                                          =                 32077 cm³

VOLUME OF REQUIRED WOOD = 32077 CM ³
