Required data,

length of the closed box =40cm

breadth of the closed box =20cm

height of the closed box=5cm

we observ that it is a cuboid because it has three dimensions

To solve the sum we use total surface area of the closed box

Total surface area of the cuboid=length ×breadth ×height

Total surface area of thr cuboid=40×20×5=4000cm²

lateral surface area of the cuboid=2×length(height+breadth)

lateral surface area of the cuboid=2×40(5+20)=2×40×25=2000cm²
