hey there!

Diameter= 10 cm

Then, Radius will be 10/2 that is 5cm.

Height= 16cm

Surface area of the cylinder=

2\pi \: r(r + h)

Put values in it.

U will get,

= 2×22/7×5( 5+ 16)

= 2×22/7×5×21

= 44×15

= 660 cm^2

Thus , surface area of cylinder is 660 cm^2

hope it's helpful

Answer :

The surface area of cylinder is 660cm².

Step-by-step explanation :-

To Find:-

  • The surface area of the cylinder

Solution,

Formulas used :-

  • Radius = Diameter / 2
  • Total surface area = 2πr(h+r) sq. units

Given that,

  • Height of cylinder = 16cm
  • Diameter of cylinder = 10cm [ radius = 5 ], as Radius = Diameter / 2

ACCORDING THE QUESTION,

The total surface area of cylinder,

As we know that,

Total surface area = 2πr(h+r) sq. units,

Therefore,

➦ 2πr(h+r)

➦ 2 × 22/7 × 5 × ( 16 + 5 )

➦ 2 × 22/7 × 5 × 21 ... dividing 21 and 7 with 7

➦ 2 × 22 × 5 × 3

➦ 44 × 15

➦ 660

The surface area of cylinder is 660cm².
