Hi,

Thanks for your question!!

The dimensions given for the closed  cylindrical tank are

Height = h =1.4 m

Radius  = 56 cm = 0.56 m

So the Metal sheet required to make cylindrical tank are  = total surface area of cylindrical tank which is equal to 2\piπ r(r+h)

=2×22/7×0.56(0.56+1.4)

=2×22×0.08×1.96

=6.8992 square meters

Hope it helps!

Answer: Given: h = 1.4 m = 1.4 x 100 = 140 cm

Radius = 56 cm

Metal required for making closed cylindrical tank = Total surface area of the cylinder = 2πr(r+h)

2 × 22/7 × 56 (56+140)

44 × 8 ×196

68992 cm²

Required metal sheet = 68992 cm²
