In this case we will calculate the Total surface area of the cylindrical tank which will be eaqual to the area of metal sheet required.
TSA = 2*pi*r (h+r)
= 44 (12)
528 m^2

Here we have closed cylinder, means Total Surface Area (TSA). And the TSA of acylinder is 2pi x r x (r + h), Right?

According to question,
diameter of the cylindrical tank = 14m
radius will be 14/2 = 7m
height of the cylinderical tank = 5m

Applying the formula,
TSA of Cylindrical Tank = 2pi x r x (r + h)
                                        = 2 x 22/7 x 7 x (7 + 5)
                                        = 528 m^2

So 528m^2 of metal sheet will be required to make the tank.

Saanchi14: my ans is 528 pls calculate
