Radius of base = 56 cm
Height = 1.4 m = 140 cm

The cylinder is closed so the metal sheet required is total surface area of cylinder.

TSA of cylinder = 2πr ( h + r)
= 2 x 22/7 x 56 ( 56 + 140)
= 2 x 22 x 8 x 196
= 68992 cm²

So, your answer is 68992 cm²

Hope This Helps..

Hi friend,

Height of the cylinder=1.4m=140cm
Radius of cylinder=56cm

TSA of the cylinder as its closed= 2*pi*r(r+h)
=2*22/7*56(56+140)
=68992 cm^2

Hope it helped you..............
