Step-by-step explanation:

Let height of tank be 'h' = 5 cm and radius be 'r= 14 cm'.

because tank is closed so there will be two lids.

tsa \: of \: cylinder = 2\pi \: r(h + r) \\ = 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 14(5 + 14) \: {cm}^{2} \\ = 2 \times 22 \times 2 \times 19 \: {cm}^{2} \\ = 88 \times 19 \: {cm}^{2} \\ = 1672 \: {cm}^{2} \\ \\ \: so \: 1672 \: {cm}^{2} \: sheet \: of \: metal \: is \: required
