Answer:

first let us find how much sheet is required for 2 circles top and bottom

2pir

=2*3.14*7

=44*2(as2circles)

88m²

now let's find for cylynder

diameter I*height as it's rectangle

7(2)(3)

42 m²

88m²+42m² =130m²

Given :

  • A closed cylindrical tank of radius 7 m.
  • A closed cylindrical tank of height 3 m.

To Find :

  • The sheet of metal is required = ?

Solution :

As we know that :

  • Area of metal sheet = TSA of cylinder = Area of closed cylindrical tank

Now,

⇒TSA of cylinder = 2πr(r + h)

⇒TSA of cylinder = 2 × 22/7 × 7 (7 + 3)

⇒TSA of cylinder = 2 × 22 × 10

⇒TSA of cylinder = 44 × 10

TSA of cylinder = 440 m²

  • Hence,the sheet of metal required is 440 .

Formulas related to cylinder and cone :

  • Volume of cylinder = πr²h
  • T.S.A of cylinder = 2πrh + 2πr²
  • Volume of cone = ⅓ πr²h
  • C.S.A of cone = πrl
  • T.S.A of cone = πrl + πr²
