• We know curved surface area of cylinder is given by 2$\pi$rh

           Curved surface of cylinder = 2$\pi$rh

                                                       [tex]=2\times\frac{22}{7} \times7\times3\\\\ =44\times3\\\\ =132m^2[/tex]

• Given cost of painting 1 $m^2$= Rs10

       then cost of painting 132$m^2$ = 132$\times$ 10=Rs1320

Thus cost of painting the cylinder is Rs 1320.
