         Height of cylinder ,h= 3m

  • We know curved surface area of cylinder is given by 2\pirh

           Curved surface of cylinder = 2\pirh

                                                       [tex]=2\times\frac{22}{7} \times7\times3\\\\ =44\times3\\\\ =132m^2[/tex]

  • Given cost of painting 1 m^2= Rs10

       then cost of painting 132m^2 = 132\times 10=Rs1320

Thus cost of painting the cylinder is Rs 1320.
