A closed cylindrincal tank of diameter 21 m and height 4 m is made of steel. How much area of steel sheet is required?

Answer:

r = 10.5 m

h = 4 m

Total Surface Area of Cylinder = 2πr(h+r)

∴, 2 x 22/7 x 10.5 x (4+10.5)

2 x 22 x 1.5 x 14.5

44 x 21.75

∴, Area of steel sheet required = 957 cm²
