A closed wooden box with inner dimensions of 88 cm by 78 cm by 68 cm has a uniform thickness of 0.01 m. Calculate its volume and the outer surface area.​

convert the thickness of box in meter

0•01m = 100cm

dimensions for exterior,

length= (88+2×100)cm

=288 cm

breadth = (78+2×100)cm

278cm

height =(68+2×100)cm

=268cm

now volume of external

=(288×278×268)cm³

=21457152cm³

=2145m³

Now volume for internal,

=(78×88×68)cm³

=466752cm³

Again volume of closed wooden box,

=external volume -- internal volume

=20990400cm³

=2099m³.
