Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the cost of bordering= area of the lace× ₹0.50

And we know that area of the lace = area of the cloth with lace - area of the cloth

=( l+6) ×(b+6) - (l×b)

=( 500cm+6cm) ×( 75cm+6cm) -(500cm×75cm)

=(506cm)(81cm) - (37500cm²)

=40986cm² - 37500cm²

=3486cm²

cost of putting a border =3486cm²×₹ 0.50/cm² =₹1743

(in another case, if your adding border fully outside then the length and breadth will also increase , for eg. if i have a square of 3cm and decide to add 1cm plaster, the 1 cm will add to both end, that is 1cm to the left and 1cm to the right making a 3cm square to 5cm square and thus applying the same with top and bottom.
