Hey mate,..

Clear night is cooler because earth radiates heat it gets from the sun during the day, back into space. Clouds are formed of water vapour which is poor conductor of heat and thus clouds

blankets the heat radiating from earth to the space. This trapped heat increases temperature at that the local region of earth covered by clouds and hence nights are warmer.

Hope it will help you

●Clear sky nights are clear as the sun's heat that is trapped in day,is escaped back into the space.

●But when it is cloudy the heat is not allowed to escape due to the reason that clouds are poor conductor of heat,

thus,

the temperature on Earth increases, which results in warmer nights.
