a. A coalition government is a government formed by an alliance of two or more political parties, when no single party enjoys majority support of the members in a legislature
b. The country for long period witnessed the domination of Congress party both at the centre and at the state.
c. Though the first Coalition government was formed in 1977, with Janta party forming government at the centre.
d. It was from the 1990, we witnessed the rise of coalition era. With no single party coming into majority, this period saw the rise of coalition governments.
e. The very idea of power sharing is mutually compatible with democracy as it makes the system more representative and participative.More so, it ensures peace and stability in the region by appeasing all social groups in giving them recognition.
f. Coalition era experiences more effective form of power sharing between the Centre and the states, which is an integral part of Indian politics,

Yes, i agree with the statement.
Because,in a state where there is no democracy there cannot be a number of political party. When there is democracy, there is different poitical party and that can form coalition government if one particular party cannot or is not able to form their own party government.
