A cobbler named Bhola lived in a small cottage near a river. One day at night as he was sitting by the riverside, he heard a sound and looked but could not find anyone next to him. He had come to gather firewood for his house and to wash his equipment just like any other day, however, that day something felt strange to him.
He continued with his work without thinking much about the sound, however, just as he picked up the sticks, he heard a rustling sound from the bush next to him. His heartbeat fastened thinking maybe it was some dangerous animal that was thinking of attacking him. The sound continued for some time. Just as Bhola was about to run back home, suddenly a tail came out of the bush. He was taken aback. Seeing the tail he somehow identified the animal. He went towards the bush and further and saw a tiny kitten lying behind it. It was a full white kitten, maybe stray.
Looking at her malnourished body, Bhola felt pity and took the kitten to his house where he gave it a bowl full of milk, and bathed it in warm water. After that, the kitten slept peacefully next to Bhola. The next morning Bhola left a bowl of milk and some bread and left for work. When he came back, he received a warm welcome from the kitten, something he had not received in a long time ever since his parents had passed away. His lonely life had finally come to an end. Now he had a companion, who made his home a better place to stay.
