Hey mate ,

Tin is in the form of cuboid

Thus , CSA of cuboid + base rectangle

= 2(l+b)h + lb

= 2(30+40) 50 + 30×40

= 100(70) + 1200

= 7000+1200

= 8200 cm^2

Rate is RS 2

Thus , cost = Area × Rate

= 8200×2

= Rs 16400

[ hey mate , since tin is generally open from top thus we have not included it's area . If it is closed then we will directly apply the formula of TSA of cuboid i.e. 2(lb+bh+hl) ]

Hope you find it helpful!!
