The current comes out from the page Q in the anti-clockwise direction.
- The direction of the magnetic field is determine through the rule that is named as right-hand thumb rule.
- In which the thumb represents the direction of the current flowing and the fingers that are curled represents the magnetic field.
- As from the P current goes inside which means the direction of the magnetic field is clockwise.
- But at Q the current is coming out, therefore it will opposite to the P point and therefore the direction of magnetic field is anticlockwise.

Answer:
- The current flows into the page downward direction, the field lines are in clockwise direction at P
- at Q it come out of the page means here the field lines are in anticlockwise direction
- the resulting magnetic lines of force around it will be on right side away from the coil
