A coil of 100 turns encloses an area of 100cm^2. It is placed at an angle of 70° with a magnetic field of 0.1Wbm^-2. What is the magnetic flux through the coil? If the magnetic field is reduced to zero in 10^-3s, what emf is induced in the coil?

When the plane of the armature is parallel to the lines of force of magnetic field, the rate of change of magnetic flux linked with it is maximum. Therefore, the e.m.f. induced in the armature in this orientation is maximum.
