Answer:

As the magnet will fall the flux through the coil will increase ,according to lenz law, the coil will induce current in order to oppose the flux ,That current will reduce the acceleration of magnet so amagnet=g−acurrent

Given : Small bar magnet is dropped vertically  down through a coil of wire.

To Find : The magnet will fall with

Solution :

As the magnet will fall vertically, the flux through the coil will increase

According to Lenz law,

The coil will induce current in order to oppose the flux.

That current will reduce the acceleration of magnet

Thus,  \[{a_{accurate}} = g - {a_{current}}\]  .

Hence, Magnet will fall with acceleration  \[{a_{accurate}} = g - {a_{current}}\] .
