a coin and a piece of paper are dropped simultaneously from the same height which of the two will touch the ground first? what will happen if the coin and piece of paper are dropped in vacuum? give reason for your answer.

It depends where this test is conducted. The only thing that makes one object fall faster than the other is the frictional resistance due to air. If the test is conducted in a vacuum chamber then both will take same amount of time to reach the ground.

t= time taken by the object to reach the ground


d= height of the fall


g= gravitational force


This formula represent the time taken by an object to reach the ground. If you observe, there is no mention of weight of the falling object. It all depends on the height and gravity.
