when the is getting from a rarer medium to denser the ray get away from the normal ray which is in a litte up from the coins real place so the image formed is viewed like that

the coin appears to be raised due to bouyant force acting on it in upward direction so that it seems that the coin is raised and as the water is transperent we cannot see that it is dipped in it
