Answer.

When a coin is tossed 3-times, then 8 possible outcomes are:

H H H

H H T

H T H

H T T

T H H

T H T

T T H

T T T

where, H and T represent ‘heads’ and ‘tails’ respectively.

Let E be the event whose probability, P(E)

 =  \frac{3}{8}

It follows that event E can be “getting two heads” or “getting two tails”.
