While tossing a coin you can get either Heads or Tails

Now if you toss that coin three times, the total number of outcomes you'll get will be-

2 * 2 * 2 = 2³ = 8

Your answer= 8

Given:

The number of times the coin is tossed = 3

To find:

Number of possible outcomes.

Solution:

If we toss a coin, then there will be two outcomes, i.e. heads or tails. Thus if a coin is tossed three times then the number of possible outcomes will be as follows:

= 2 * 2* 2

On simplifying, we will get the following value:

= 8

These outcomes will be as follows:

HHH

TTT

HTT

HHT

THH

TTH

HTH

THT

Thus, the number of possible outcomes will be 8.
