Explanation:

Given,

Radius of coin =28mm

Coin will be in The shape of circle

a)Area of coin in mm =?

b)Area of coin in cm=?

a)

Area of coin(circle)=3.14*radius*radius (FORMULA)

=3.14*28*28

=2461.76mm^2

b)

We know that 1cm=10mm

Therefore to convert mm to cm, we should divide the answer by 10 to get area in cm

Area of coin(circle)(in cm) =2461.76/10

=246.17cm^2

I hope you understood the concept and method,
