A community hall is 16m 50cm long and 15m 25cm wide.It is to be paved by square marble stone tiles.Find the largest size of each tile and least number of tiles required.
Solution :
             length = 16m50cm
                       = 1650 cm
             Width = 15m25cm
                        =1525 cm
Side of the Square marble Stone = H.C.F of 1650 and 1525
                   So first calculate HCF of 1650 and 1525
                   Hcf of  1650 and 1525 =  25

Therefore NUmber of tiles required = total area of hall / area of square marbles
                                                 = 1650*1525 / 25*25
                                                  =  4026

Hope this helps you!!!
