Given that:

9357 pencils to schools and divided equally among 9 classrooms.

To find:

How many pencils were donated to the classroom and the library.

Solution:

No.of pencils donated = 9357

No.of pencils Divided }

for classrooms } = 9

Total No.of pencils. }

} = 9357/9

donated for classrooms} =1,039.66666667

Round off : 1039

So for 1 classroom 1039 pencils donated.

Totally:1039+1039+1039+1039+1039+1039+1039+1039+1039=9,351

Therefore totally 9,351 pencils were donated for 9 classrooms.

ii) For library:

No.of pencils donated = 9,357

No.of pencils donated for classrooms = 9,351

Total No.of pencils donated for Library =

9,357 - 9,351= 6.

Therefore, 6 pencils were donated to Library.
