Solution:

shopkeeper makes a profit of rs 4 by selling 50 notepads at rs 0.8 per notepad

Selling price by shopkeeper for 50 notepads = 50 * 0.8 = Rs 40

Profit = Rs 4

Cost Price of 50 note pads for shopkeeper = 40 - 4 = Rs 36

Cost Price of 1 note pads for shopkeeper = 36/50

Cost Price of 100 note pads for shopkeeper = 100 * 36/50 = Rs 72

Cost price of shopkeeper = selling price of manufacturing company

Selling price of 100 note pads by manufacturer = Rs 72

Manufacturer profit = Rs 18

Manufacturer cost price for 100 notepad =  72 - 18  = Rs 54

cost of manufacturing 100 notepads for company​ = Rs 54
