A company packages its milk powder in cylindrical container whose base has a diameter of 18 cm and height 20 cm. Company places a label around the surface of the container (as shown in figure). If the label is placed 3 cm from top and bottom, what is the area of the label?

Diameter=18cm

radius=D/2 18/2=9cm

Height 20 cm

label part area 20-(3+3)=14cm

lateral surface area=2pie r²h

=2×22/7×9×9×14
