Step-by-step explanation:

Given .A company wants to manufacture 750 hemispherical basins from a thin steel sheet. If the  radius of each basin is 28 cm, find the area of steel sheet required to manufacture the  above hemispherical bowls

  • Radius of the hemispherical basin r = 28 cm
  • We know that surface area of a hemispherical basin = 2 π r^2
  •                                                                                        = 2 x 22/7 x 28 x 28
  •                                                                                       = 4928 cm^2
  • Now surface area of a hemispherical basin = 4928 cm^2
  • Therefore steel sheet required for 1 basin will be 4928 cm^2
  • Total area of steel sheet required for 750 basins will be 4928 x 750
  •                                                                               = 3696000 cm^2
  •                                                                                 = 369.6 m^2
