A compass is placed and a current carrying straight conductor. What will happen to the deflection of the needle if
(i) the distance between the compass and the conductor is halved (for a given current)
(ii) the current through the conductor is doubled (for a given point)
(iii) the direction of the current is reversed in the conductor

Explanation:

if the current is increased in an magnetic field, the deflection also increases.

it indicates that the magnitude of the magnetic field produced at a given point increased as the current through the wire increases.magnetic field produced by a given current in the conductor decreased as the distance from it increases
