The main purpose of compensation in op-amp is to provide stable operation when negative feedback is given around the operational amplifier. This compensation can be done in three methods. When we use a capacitor to feedback the high-gain, in inverting stage, it is called Miller’s method. Similarly, the other method is to use the load capacitor itself to compensate the Op-amp is called self-compensation. This compensating capacitor provides stable operation of op-amp when negative feedback is applied.
