The ratio of a to b is :

a : b = 3 : 4..... 1

The ratio of b : c is :

b : c = 4 : 5....... 2

Lets get the common ratio :

a : b : c = 3 : 4 : 5

The sum of the ratios is :

3 + 4 + 5 = 12

The amount b gets is :

4/12 × 40000 = 13333,1/3

Rs 13333.33

if c takes 5 days to do work then

b will take 4 and a will take 3 as given in the question

now =if they work together then they will work in one day is (1/3+1/4+1/5)

now to complete that work they take x days then x(1/3+1/4+1/5)=1

now x=60/47

now in 60/47 days work done by B is 60/(47*4) = 15/47

now 15/47 th of profit 40000 is 12765

B's share is 12765.
