I was not more than 14 that time, when an incident changed my life. I was on the road to school for extra lessons on a Saturday morning, as on any other week-end. I had to go to school by city bus. I found that the road was very busy while I was walking down the road from my home. Buses, buses, taxis, motorbikers and pedestrians created a rush that could easily annoy anyone
When I walked the footpath down the bus stop, I kept myself calm. Nonetheless, my thoughts were far away because I was worried about the mid-term exam just around the corner. Then a motorcycle rider, who was just passing beside me, tugged at my bag, which was dangling from my shoulder.
I turned around and reeled from the force of the moving vehicle. I fell down on the pavement within a split second, rhather thrown on the pavment with full impact. I felt numb and everything around me was blurred. But I was too dazed to talk and stunned to get on, I heard people shouting. After that, I didn't recall anything. When I regained consciousness. I was in the hospital and my legs were bandaged
The doctors who were attending to me had said me I was very lucky to have survived the accident and that too with not much injuries. And that within a week i would recover and can go home. I could not thank God enough that day and was glad i was alive and today I am strong and healthy. I realised how precious life was.
