A Compound contain 40%of Carbon,6.66%of Hydrogen and rest of Oxygen. and its molecular Mass is 180. Calculate the empirical formula and molecular formula?​

an organic compound contain 40% carbon ,6.66% hydrogen  and 53.33% oxygen 

mole of carbon = 4 mole 

for carbon 12240= 3.33             3.333.33= 1 atom 

for hydrogen  16.66= 6.66             3.336.66= 1 atom 

for oxygen  1653.33= 3.33             3.333.33= 1 atom 

emperical  formula CH2O

mass 30 gram C is 60/30  = 2 atom 

 so formula is C2H4O
