Z makes fcc lattice so the value of 'z' for Z is 4

no.of octahedral voids present is z = 4

X occupies all Octahedral voids.... value of z for X is 4

no. of tetrahedral voids present is 2z = 2× 4 =8

Y occupies ⅓ of tetrahedral voids... so value of z for Y is 8/3

so formula of compound is X4 Y8/3 Z4

OR simplify it X12 Y8 Z12

That is X3 Y2 Z3
