The compound is Calcium Hemihydrate or Plaster of Paris(CaSO4 . 1/2 H2O)

CaSO4.2H2O----------->CaSO4.1/2H2O+3/2H2O
(gypsum). 373K. (Plaster of Paris)

Gypsum is heated in 373K without the presence of water.By dehydration gypsum looses 3/2 molecules of water to form plaster of paris
Use:-
