MeghaaRaj: The compound is - Plaster Of Paris (Calcium Sulphate Hemihydrate). The chemical formula is CaSO4.1/2H2O. The chemical equation for its preparation is - By heating gypsum at 373K, CaSO4.1/2H20 ---> CaSO4.1/2H2O + 1 1/2H2O.
MeghaaRaj: Above the arrow please mention "373K". If you have any queries please come back! Thanks.
MeghaaRaj: That is one and a half H2O in the product side- for those who did not understand! :-)
