Weight of carbon=64.8/100 ×74.1= 48

Hydrogen. =13.5/100×74.1=10

Oxygen. =21.7/100×74.1=16

No of moles=

Given mass/molar mass

C=48/12=4

H= 10/1=10

O=16/16=1

Emprical formula= C4 H10 O
