.A compound „X‟ is used for drinking has pH=7.It‟s acidified solution in presence of electricity undergoes decomposition to produce gases „Y‟ and ‟Z‟. The volume of „Y‟ is double than „Z‟.‟Y‟ is highly combustible where as „Z‟ is a supporter of combustion. Identify „X,‟Y‟‟Z‟ and write the chemical reactions involved.

The compound is none other than the most precious liquid i.e. water itself.
Y is Hydrogen gas and Z is Oxygen gas.
