A compound 'x' is used for drinking , has ph-7. Its acidified solution undergoes decomposition in presence of electricity to produce gases 'y' and 'z'. The volume of y is double then z. Y is highly combustible whereas z is support of combustion. Identify x,y,z and write the chemical reaction involved.

x is "H20" means water
y is dihydrogen(H2) means Hydrogen gas
z is dioxygen (O2) means oxygen gas.

electrolysis
2(H20) ―――――――――――→ 2(H2) + O2

fuel cell reaction
2(H2) + O2 ―――――――――――――――――――→ 2(H2O).
