X - Ethanol
Y - Ethene
Z - Hydrogen gas.

C2H5OH --- at 443 K in presence of hot.concentrated sulphuric acid---->
CH2=CH2 + H2O

Here sulphuric acid acts as a dehydrating agent which removes water from the ethanol to form unsaturated compound Ethene.
