A compound 'X' on heating with excess concentration sulphuric acid ar 443K gives an unsaturated compound 'Y'. ' X' also reacts with sodium metal to evolve a colourless gas 'Z'. Identify 'X', 'Y' and 'Z'. Write the equation of the chemical reaction of formation of 'Y' and also write the role of sulphuric acid in the reaction.

X : Ethanol

Y : Ethene

Z : Hydrogen gas

Reaction:

(conc. H2SO4) ; 443K

C2H5OH ----------------------------------> C2H4 + H2O.

(Dehydration)

Concentrated H2SO4 acts as a dehydrating agent.

HOPE IT HELPED IF YES PLEASE MARK AS BRAINLIEST....

Rahul602i463: X when reacts with Sodium metal then what happens
