Answer:

97/120

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi,

Let P(A) be the probability that company will get software A

Let P(B) be the probability that company will get software B

Let P(A ∩ B) be the probability that company will get both the

softwares

Given P(A) = 3/5

P(B) = 1/3 and

P(A ∩ B) = 1/8

Let P(A ∪ B) be the probability that company will get at least one

software .

But P(A ∪ B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A ∩ B)

= 3/5 + 1/3 - 1/8

= (72 + 40 - 15)/120

= 97/120

Hence, the probability that the company will get at least one

software is 97/120.

Hope, it helps !
