A fuse is normally used in the whole electricity system to avoid any type of excess flow of current.

In a simpler word, it provides security to the system and prevents any type of heat up that can result in melting up or breaking a circuit.

Here no fuse was used that means that excess current can pass on that broke the whole circuit.

Fuses are electrical devices which are used to protect the electrical devices and appliances from getting affected by overload electricity problem.

A computer that was connected temporarily to an electric current circuit without a fuse got burnt because when the fuse is absent, the signaling of the overload process is not done.

As a result of the overload of electricity directly enters the circuit of the computer due to which the computer gets fired.
