A concave lens has a focal length of 10cm An object 2.5 high is placed at 30 cm from the lens. Determine the position size and nature of the image. Also draw the ray diagram for the same.​

v = -7.5cm , height of image = 0.25cm

Explanation:

f = -10 cm

u = -30 cm

v = ?

now by using lens formula

1/v - 1/u = 1/f

1/v = 1/f + 1/u

1/v = 1/-10 + 1/-30

by solving this you will get v = -30/4 = -7.5 cm

m = v/u = height of image / height of object

height of image will be 0.25 cm
