A concave lens has focal length of 15 .at what distance the object form the lens be placed so that it form an image at 10 cm from the lens ? es questions me mugha batow ki v=--10 koy hoga explain mugha nahi pata ha plz

       focal length (f) :- 15 cm

 image distance (v) :- 10 cm

 object distance (u) : ?

           

                   1/v-1/u=1/f                                                     ---------(i)

substitute the given values in (i)...

            1/10-1/u    =  1/15

                  -1/u    =  1/15-1/10

                  -1/u    =  (10-15)/150

                            =  -5/150 = -1/30

                     -u    =  -30  

therefore,

                      u    =  (-30).
