A concave lens of focal length 60cm is used to form an image of an object of length 9cm kept at a distance of 30 cn from it. use lens formula to determine the nature, position and length of the image formed also draw the labelled ray diagram to show the image formation.

Answer:

Explanation:

f=  60 cm

u= -30 cm

h=9 cm

nature=?, v=?, h of object=?,

using lens formula,

1/v+1/u=1/f

apply the values of U and F then you would get the value of V (position)

V= 20cm

for height of the image use,

m=v/u=h/h

you will get m= -2/3

now , m=h/h

height of image = - 6 cm

nature of the image formed is real and inverted,
